Special Session 1: Advanced Composite Materials for Energy Applications
This special track focuses on advanced composite materials enabling high-performance, durable, and sustainable energy systems. Contributions are invited on lightweight, multifunctional, and resilient material systems engineered for renewable energy structures, hydrogen and fuel-cell systems, and energy-storage components including battery cells, packs, and stacks where composites contribute to structural support and functional integration. Topics include the design, characterization, and optimization of composites that enhance structural–functional integration, energy efficiency, and reliability under extreme mechanical, thermal, and environmental conditions. Emphasis is placed on innovations that improve durability, safety, and system-level performance while supporting sustainable energy technologies. Both experimental studies and modeling approaches that advance predictive design, scalable implementation, and multifunctional performance are encouraged, highlighting how advanced composites contribute to next-generation, high-performance energy solutions.
